Early Times Report REASI, Sept 17: Reasi Police conducted Thana Diwas programmes at multiple locations across the district to strengthen police-public interaction, address public grievances and enhance community participation in maintaining peace and security. At Police Post Kakryal, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Katra, the Thana Diwas was presided over by SP Katra, along with SDPO Katra and SHO Police Station Katra. During the programme, members of the general public interacted with the police officers and projected their grievances and local issues. The grievances were heard patiently and necessary directions were issued for their prompt disposal. Similarly, SDPO Mahore and SHO Mahore conducted a Thana Diwas at Angralla, Mahore. During the interaction, participants were briefed about emerging trends in crime and encouraged to share any information or inputs with the police promptly and in a timely manner to facilitate effective preventive and investigative action. At Village Chillad, a far-flung area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnas, SHO Arnas conducted the Thana Diwas programme, wherein respectable persons and local residents participated and put forth their grievances and local issues. The grievances were heard patiently, with assurances that matters requiring intervention at higher levels would be taken up with the concerned authorities. Some issues were also resolved on the spot. Reasi Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining regular interaction with the public, ensuring prompt grievance redressal and strengthening police-public cooperation across the district. |
