Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Sept 18: The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur organised a special lecture on the ill effects of substance abuse with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful consequences of drug and substance addiction. Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Convenor, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Committee, delivered the special lecture. He sensitised the students about the detrimental effects of substance abuse on physical and mental health, academic performance, family life and society. He also emphasised the importance of making informed choices and adopting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. On the occasion, the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeet Kaur, addressed the students and highlighted the need for sustained awareness and collective efforts to combat substance abuse. She encouraged the students to stay away from drugs and play an active role in spreading the message of a healthy, responsible and substance-free society. The programme was attended by faculty members including Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Dr. Manoj Heer, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, Prof. Sonia Devi, Dr. Anoop Singh, Dr. Pooja Gupta, Dr. Anu Bala, Dr. Reetika Sharma and Prof. Anu Bala. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening awareness among students and contributing towards the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
