KISHTWAR, Sept 21: Kishtwar Police rescued 44 bovine animals, arrested 05 accused persons, and seized 01 vehicle in connection with 02 FIRs registered at Police Station Chatroo.
On receiving specific information regarding bovine smuggling, SHO Police Station Chatroo Insp. Rishi Kumar, under the supervision of senior officers, established multiple naka points at different places. During the naka, some bovine animals were intercepted while being transported in a vehicle, while others were rescued while being moved through mountainous routes towards Kashmir.
During questioning, the accused failed to produce valid documents or permission for transportation of the bovine animals towards Kashmir. The rescued animals have been secured as per established procedure.
SSP Kishtwar has warned persons involved in bovine smuggling and other unlawful activities to refrain from such acts, stating that strict legal action shall be taken against anyone found violating the law. |
