JAMMU, Sept 23: Keeping in view the convenience of rail passengers, especially devotees visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, during the festive season, Northern Railway has decided to extend the trip period of Special Train No. 04081/04082. This decision has been taken in view of the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Navratri and Diwali festivals.
As per the extended period, Train No. 04081 from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra_ will run with 14 trips from 12.10.2026 to 25.10.2026.
Similarly, on its return journey, Train No. 04082 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi will run with 14 trips from 13.10.2026 to 26.10.2026. En route, the train will halt at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu, Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Stations.
This extension will provide great relief to passengers travelling from New Delhi to Jammu and Katra during the festive season. Devotees will get confirmed tickets easily and the waiting list will be reduced. This train will accommodate the extra rush and will also reduce the pressure on regular trains. |
