KULGAM, Sept 23: During dynamic naka checking on Qazigund-Dalwach Road near Dooru Crossing, NHW 44, police party of police station Qazigund intercepted a Grand i10 bearing registration No. JK01BA-5293, travelling from Jammu towards Qazigund.
During checking, 15 grams of Heroin-like substance was recovered from the driver-side door pocket. The driver was identified as Saqib Latief Dagga S/O M. Latief Dagga, R/O Maharaj Gunj, Srinagar.
In this connection, FIR No. 230/2026 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Qazigund, and investigation has been taken up.
Kulgam Police appeals to the general public to remain vigilant and actively cooperate with the Police in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking. Any information regarding drug-related activities may be shared with the Police. The identity of the informer will be kept confidential.
