| Workshop on E-Waste Management held at NCTI Computer Institute, Bari Brahmana | | |  Early Times Report
BARI BRAHMANA, Sept 23: A workshop on "E-Waste Management" was successfully organized today at NCTI Computer Institute, Bari Brahmana (Behind Hungry Point) in collaboration with Bhoomi Saviour, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the responsible handling, disposal, and recycling of electronic waste.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Suraj Kapoor, Founder of Bhoomi Saviour, who served as the Founder and Resource Person for the programme. He interacted with the students and explained the growing problem of electronic waste and its impact on the environment and human health.
During the session, students were made aware of various types of e-waste, including old computers, monitors, mobile phones, electronic devices, cables and other discarded electronic equipment. The resource person also discussed the importance of safe disposal, reuse, repair and recycling of electronic items and encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
Kapoor emphasized the role of young people in building a cleaner and greener future and encouraged students to spread awareness about proper e-waste management within their homes and communities.
The programme was held under the guidance of Mr. Naresh Khullar, Centre Head, NCTI Computer Institute, with the active support of Ms. Sunita Kumari, Centre In-Charge/Teacher. The NCTI team appreciated the efforts of Bhoomi Saviour and Mr. Suraj Kapoor for conducting the informative awareness session.
The workshop concluded with a message to the students:
"Think Green o Recycle Today o Secure Tomorrow"
The programme provided students with practical awareness about responsible electronic waste management and the importance of collective action for environmental protection. |
