Solan, Sept 25: HACK DAYS SOLAN 2026, an AI hackathon centred on building innovative projects using the Google Gemini API, was held on 12th September 2026 at JUIT Waknaghat. The event was organised by the Enkindle Club, official club of the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology (CSE & IT), JUIT, and was supported through collaboration with Hack4Brahma. The eight-hour hackathon, held from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, saw participation from 80+ students who competed in two-member teams to design and build AI-powered prototypes. The programme commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Head of the CSE & IT Department Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Deans and faculty members present on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor inspired the gathering with valuable insights on innovation and the growing role of AI in shaping the future, following which teams spent the day developing their applications before presenting their ideas to the judges in a pitching session. Projects were evaluated by a distinguished judging panel comprising Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Professor & Head, CSE & IT; Dr. Aman Sharma and Dr. Anita, Assistant Professors, JUIT; Vijayent Kholi, Principal Cyber Security Engineer, Ford Motors, USA; Kanika, Automation Specialist II, Uber, Hyderabad; and Achyut Tiwari, Founder & CEO, GeoLiquefy, San Francisco Bay Area, USA. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, while all participants received stickers. The event concluded with closing remarks, encouraging participants to continue exploring Generative AI in real-world applications. |
