Poonch, Sept 25: The Indian Army organised an awareness lecture on various Government Schemes for the welfare and development of the people of Jammu & Kashmir at Government High School Sanai, Lassana, Poonch. The programme aimed to educate students and the local community about the benefits and opportunities available under different government welfare and development initiatives.
A total of 117 students and 12 teachers actively participated in the informative session. The nodal officer briefed the participants about the significance of government schemes in improving socio-economic conditions and empowering various sections of society, including students, youth, women, farmers and economically weaker sections.
During the lecture, detailed information was shared regarding schemes related to education, scholarships, skill development, employment, entrepreneurship, healthcare, social security and financial assistance. The participants were also sensitised about eligibility criteria, documentation requirements and the importance of applying through authorised government channels.
The students were encouraged to disseminate the information among their families and community members so that eligible beneficiaries could avail themselves of available opportunities. An interactive session was also conducted, during which students and teachers raised queries regarding different schemes and application procedures.
The programme concluded with a message encouraging the younger generation to remain aware, informed and responsible citizens. The initiative was appreciated by the school administration and participants for its educational and community-oriented approach. |
