JAMMU, Sept 26: Directorate of Extension and Outreach, Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) hosted a Cluster Level Workshop on "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship." The workshop, a flagship initiative titled "Offscript with IIM Jammu: YUVA Tales," is organized in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu. The event took place at the Conference Hall, GGM Science College, Jammu. The workshop aimed to ignite an entrepreneurial mindset among students, transforming them from job seekers into job creators. It was designed to guide participants through the essential stages of building a venture, including understanding real-world problem statements, idea discussion and validation, developing viable business plans, and exploring venture viability with co-founders. The workshop was inaugurated by Sr. Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, IIC Coordinators of respective Colleges and Schools including Prof. Amitpal Kour, Dr. Bharti Slathia, Dr. Ashu Manhas, Dr. Arjun Kotwal, Garima Salgotra, Dr. Banarsi Lal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Biplap Kumar Maiti and Dr. Avtar Changotra. Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu, served as the Chief Resource Person for the workshop, bringing his invaluable expertise in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship to the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, CLUJ, emphasized the University's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial capabilities among the youth. He highlighted that such initiatives are essential for building a culture of innovation and self-reliance, and encouraged students to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path. He also commended the collaboration with IIM Jammu and expressed confidence that the workshop would serve as a catalyst for transforming ideas into sustainable ventures. Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu, along with his team, was warmly welcomed and felicitated during the programme. Dr. Sharma shared his insights on the entrepreneurial ecosystem and urged students to look beyond conventional career choices and explore the vast potential of venture creation. Prof. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GGM Science College, extended his support for successful conduct of the event in fostering a spirit of enterprise creation among students. Dr. Shafia Saleem, Director of Extension and Outreach at CLUJ, welcomed the participants and emphasized the University's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial capabilities. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Revika Arora and Cadet Manvi Dabgotra proposed vote of thanks. |
