JAMMU, Sept 29: Two 05 Days Civil Defence Basic Training Course was successfully conducted at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Jammu and Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, Panjtirthi Jammu.
The training programmes are being organized from 24.09.2026 to 29.09.2026 under the supervision of Sh. Zia-Ul-Haq-Dy.SP, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The courses are aimed at imparting basic knowledge and practical skills to student in the field of Civil Defence and Disaster preparedness.
Approximately 400 students and staff members from both institutions are participating in the training programmes. The participants are being imparted both theoretical and practical knowledge to enhance their preparedness and response capabilities during emergencies and disasters.
The training will also focus on the role and responsibilities of Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers during natural disasters, fires, road accidents, industrial accidents and other emergency situations, enabling participants to act as effective first responders.
Musarrat Jabin, Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar and Smt. Neelam Kumari. Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu along with the faculty members, attended the programmes and appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence, Jammu in organizing such training programmes for students and staff.
During the course, Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden, and Sh. R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden. Civil Defence, Jammu, delivered lectures on swimming and Floating aids, as well as role and responsibility of Civil Defence wardens and volunteers during natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, road accidents, and other emergency situations as first responders. The course concluded on 29th September 2026 with a vote of thanks and active participation from all trainees. |
