JAMMU, Oct 1: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, the police party of Police Station Gangyal today conducted naka/traffic checking at Industrial Area, Gangyal, Jammu.
During the checking, the police party intercepted a pedestrian identified as Vinal Soni S/o Ashwani Soni, R/o Lane No. 18, Sector-07, Nanak Nagar, Jammu. During the proceedings, approximately 7-8 grams of a heroin (Chitta)-like substance was allegedly recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 109/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gangyal, and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and intended destination of the recovered substance and to establish further linkages.
Jammu Police reiterates its commitment to taking stringent action against drug trafficking and other activities detrimental to public safety. |
