MUMBAI, Oct 3: A dispute over online mobile gaming took a violent turn in Santacruz area on Saturday after a man allegedly slit his friend's throat with a knife, police said. Three persons, including the key accused, were arrested, an official said. According to Vakola Police, the incident took place at around 1:30 am on the steps of St Rock Church in Kalina area. The victim, identified as Dilshad Shah, was sitting with his friends when Arbez Shah picked a quarrel over the phone with Dilshad's brother Salman Faruk Shah, alleging that they were using his Facebook ID to play online games. Shortly after the phone argument, Arbez allegedly attacked Dilshad with a knife. Based on a complaint filed by Salman, police registered a case under Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Arbez Shah, Musahid Vakil Ahmed Khan and Kausar Ali Jamil Shah were arrested and further investigation was underway, the official said. |
