Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: On 03.10.2026, Director Health Seruices Jammu, Dr. Poonam Sethi, visited District Rajouri along with State Tuberculosis Officer (SfO), Dr. Jyoti Jolly, and her team, as well as State ASHA Coordinator, Johnson, to review the overall functioning and progress of the Health Department in district Rajouri. The review meeting was held in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, Dr. ML Rana, District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO), all Block Medical Officers (BMOs), WHO Consultant NTEP Dr. Ashfaq, DPMU, DAC, BMEOs, STS and other concerned officers and officials. The physical and financial progress of various National Health Programmes and departmental activities was reviewed in detail. The discussions covered: - National Health Programmes, including their physical and financial progress - NTEP, with special focus on TB case detection, notification, treatment and programme indicators - NCD Programme - Human Resources and manpower availability - Machinery, equipment and their functionality - Health infrastructure and ongoing requirements - DVDMS and supply-chain management - Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services - Clinical Establishments - PCPNDT Act implementation - RBSK - AMB and other depaftmental programmes - ASHA functionality and field-level activities - Timely updating of programme data and records Special emphasis was laid on NTEP, NCD, health infrastructure, DVDMS and effective functioning of ASHAs. The Director Health Seruices Jammu reviewed the progress and discussed the issues and gaps with the concerned officers and programme teams. Health Depaftment Rajouri was directed to expedite the implementation and completion of all activities and ensure timely achievement of physical and financial targets. The officers were further directed to ensure regular and accurate updation of programme data, proper utilization of available resources, functionality of machinery and equipment, and timely submission of reports in a time-bound manner. The review meeting provided an opportunity for detailed interaction with the district and block-level teams, identification of gaps and bottlenecks, and formulation of measures for further strengthening the delivery of health seruices across District Rajouri. |
