| FADA J&K Welcomes Time-Bound Relaxation for Trade Certificate Formalities | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 7: The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) J&K has welcomed and expressed its sincere appreciation to Mr Vishesh Mahajan, Worthy Transport Commissioner J&K for issuing the order providing a one-time, time-bound facilitation of three months to eligible automobile dealers who have already initiated the statutory process for obtaining Trade Certificates. A delegation led by FADA J&K Chairperson Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal and Senior FADA Members met Mr Vishesh Mahajan, Worthy Transport Commissioner J&K, thanked and appreciated the proactive approach of the J&K Transport Department and said that the order is a significant step towards strengthening the Ease of Doing Business environment for automobile dealers in Jammu & Kashmir. The facilitation will provide eligible dealers who have already submitted their prescribed application through the VAHAN portal and deposited the requisite fee an additional three-month period to complete pending documentation, inspection and other statutory formalities. Mr. Aggarwal said, "We sincerely thank the Transport Commissioner, J&K, for considering the concerns of the automobile dealer fraternity and bringing this practical and time-bound facilitation. This decision reflects a progressive and business-friendly approach and will provide much-needed relief to dealers who have already initiated the Trade Certificate process.". Mr Sanjay Aggarwal said that the automobile sector in Jammu & Kashmir has emerged as an important pillar of the region's economy, contributing significantly to employment generation, government revenue, consumer services and the overall growth of the automotive ecosystem. He said that further improvements in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) framework are essential to unlock the sector's full potential and encourage fresh investment in Jammu & Kashmir. The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) J&K has been consistently raising issues concerning automobile dealers with the government and various departments, with the objective of making regulatory compliance simpler, transparent and more business-friendly. Mr Aggarwal said that Ease of Doing Business should not only mean digitization of applications but should also ensure time-bound approvals, clear documentation requirements, uniform interpretation of rules and minimal physical interaction. |
