Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 7: Addressing a meeting of women wing of National Conference in Ward No. 34 of Jammu Municipal Corporation in Jammu North Assembly Constituency which was organized by Rajinder Kumar, Sonu Kumar and Romesh Chander, Mr Sadhotra said women folk has to play a vital role in struggle for restoration of statehood.
National Conference leader emphasized the need to take demand of statehood at every door step to involve women folk in this struggle. He said BJP has betrayed the people of J&K despite its assurance in Parliament and before Supreme Court also. BJP first said they will go for delimitation then election and after that statehood. Why BJP is not fulfilling its promise is not known to common man. People in J&K especially Jammu Division who have given huge mandate to BJP feel deceived.
He appealed the women folk to come forward and take active part in struggle for restoration of statehood. Statehood can save our lands and employment and give honourable and dignified future to our generations.
Sadhotra said J&K state was Maharaja Sahib's historical state. It is unfortunate that BJP divided J&K into two UTs and degraded state to UT which never happened in political history of India. He said normally UTs were upgraded to states.
Addressing the meeting, Ayesha Gupta Incharge Jammu North Assembly Constituency of National Conference Wing, stressed on fellow women workers to take the struggle for restoration of statehood to every nook and corner of J&K as the mass involvement of women folk in this struggle will certainly bring full statehood to J&K.
Arti has been nominated as President of Women Wing Ward No. 34. Others who spoke on the occasion are Tilak Raj Bhagat, Sandeep Singh Manhas Incharge 14 JMC Wards of Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Ved Parkash Sharma Incharge 12 Panchayats of Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Dr. Rajinder Kumar Bhardwaj, Veer Ji Bhat, Vishawjeet Singh Samyal, Anju Mehra, Priyanka Dogra, Poonam Sharma, Vandana Abrol, Neeru, Preeti, Veena.
