Early Times Report
MANDI GOBINDGARH, Oct 10: The Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), organised an educational visit to Jain Hospital, Khanna, to provide Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) students with practical exposure to hospital operations, clinical departments and patient-care practices. The visit was organised under the visionary guidance of Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor and Dr Harsh Sadawarti Vice Chancellor Desh Bhagat University, by the Placebo Club of the Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with Jain Hospital, Khanna, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC). Dr. Navneet Kaur coordinated the activity, which was attended by Pharm.D students from the first, second, third and fourth years.
The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical clinical learning. Students observed the hospital environment, explored the functioning of various clinical departments and gained insights into the roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals in patient care. The programme also highlighted the importance of professional discipline, ethical conduct and appropriate behaviour in healthcare settings. Students attended in proper uniforms, wearing lab coats and university identity cards, and maintained professional decorum throughout the visit.
The educational activity enhanced students' understanding of hospital-based clinical practices and healthcare delivery, encouraging them to connect classroom learning with real-world medical settings.
