Early Times Report
SONIPAT, Oct 26: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm and joy at Gyan Ganga Montessori and Model School. A special programme was organised to mark the occasion, during which students paid tribute to Maharishi Valmiki's life, ideals and invaluable contribution to Indian literature through speeches and poetry recitations. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the offering of floral tributes before the portraits of Goddess Saraswati and Maharishi Valmiki by the school's Chairman, Sudhir Jain; Director, Dhruv Jain; and Principal, Meenakshi Khurana. On the occasion, Chairman Sudhir Jain said that Maharishi Valmiki is a great symbol of Indian culture, literature and spiritual consciousness. His timeless composition, the Ramayana, has been guiding humanity for generations. The epic beautifully portrays the ideals of Lord Shri Ram, including devotion to duty, truth, righteousness, sacrifice, dignity and humanity. Principal Meenakshi Khurana said that Maharishi Valmiki's life is an inspiring example of transformation, knowledge, devotion and self-realisation. His journey from Ratnakar to Maharishi Valmiki conveys the message that positive changes in one's thoughts and actions can give a new direction to life. Students participated enthusiastically in the programme. Divyanka and Mayank delivered speeches highlighting how Maharishi Valmiki's life inspires people to pursue knowledge, hard work, self-reflection and positive transformation.
