| ‘Ban on Muslim dress code unlawfull’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 24:A meeting of various Sikh organizations of J&K was today held under the chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir Ex. President J&K State Gurdwara Prabandak board.
The strongly condemned the direction issued by the France president Niclous Sarkozi to ban Burka on the Muslim ladies. Wazir while addressing the members said that it is a direct attack and interfere on the religious matters of the Muslim community. He said that French Govt. has no right to impose the ban on the dress code of the Muslim Community. He further said that the French Govt. has hesitate to do this unlawful and undemocratic action. Wazir said that every community has a right to work and adopt its personal code for his life has to criticized this action.
Among other who were present during the meeting were Narbir Singh, Mohinder Singh, Paramjit Singh, Kulwant Singh and others.
