| Efforts on for Indian, Pak Fn Secs meeting | | | Agencies New Delhi, Jun 24 : Hectic efforts are on for setting up a date for the proposed meeting between Indian and Pakistani Foreign Secretaries before the Non-Aligned Meet (NAM) in mid-July to 'resume the dialogue'' between the two countries, sources said today. The decision to have a meeting between the two Foreign Secretaries Shivshankar Menon and his Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir was taken at the June 16 interaction between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari at Yekaterinburg in Russia on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The Prime Minister told reporters while returning from Yekaterinburg that the two Foreign Secretaries would meet to review Pakistan's progress against terrorism and on assuaging India's concerns. The sources said the two Foreign Secretaries could either meet in Italy on the sidelines of the G-8 meeting of Foreign Ministers or even at Sahram-el-Shaikh in Egypt before the NAM Summit.
