Early Times Report JAMMU, JUNE 26: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal today convened a meeting to finalize the procurement of critical care ambulance for the Regional Red Cross Society (RRCS), Jammu, for which Rs. 24.10 lakh have been released by Member Parliament, Ch. Lal Singh under MPLAD scheme. The meeting decided to purchase the ambulance from Government Medical College, Jammu as per the laid down norms and handed over to CECIL Pharmaceuticals for its fabrication at approved rates. Staff for management of the ambulance would be provided by Directorate, Health Services, Jammu for the initial six months and later staff of Red Cross dispensary will take over from them after they are imparted training for the purpose. The ambulance, expected to hit the roads within next two-three months, will run on no profit no loss basis for the facility of the patients. Secretary, Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu, Mr. A. K. Padha, Principal, GMC, Jammu, Dr. Rajinder Singh, Associate Professor, GMC, Jammu, Dr. T. R. Raina, District Health Officer, Dr. Dushyant and Mr. Kunal Gandotra from Cecil pharmaceuticals were present in the meeting.
