| Art and Painting camp concludes in Bhaderwah | | | Early Times Report DODA, JUNE 26: Continuing with the campaign to promote art and culture of Bhaderwah region, a seven day Art and Painting camp was organized by Bhaderwah Development Authority at Khilleni, Bhaderwah. A grand function was organized today on the concluding day. About 300 artists from the state as well as other parts of the country including local artists of Bhaderwah participated in the camp, Mr. Anand Vaishnavi from Bhopal, Mr. Sham Parbhakar from Mumbai, Mr. Aftab Ahmed and Mr. Rakesh Kumar from Kashmir, Mr. Rohit Verma, Mr. K.K Gandhi and Mr. Sohan Baloria from Jammu and Mr. Bashir Chowdhary from Kolkata were among those who attended the camp. Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah Mr. Kalyan Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer, Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) Mr. Talat Parvez, Commanding Officer, 4 RR Mr Paramjeet Singh and Principal Government Degree College, Bhaderwah Mr. Mohd. Iqbal also attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, SDM Bhaderwah complimented the work done by the artists and asked the mast bearers of art to give a message of the need to protecting the environment for sustainable development through their art form. He lauded the efforts of BDA for developing Bhaderwah as an important tourist destination and a hub of art and culture. He also said that the Government has taken various steps for preserving the rich flora and fauna of the state and the participation of the masses is must for the effective implementation of these initiatives.
