| Situation slipping out of Government’s hands: Sawhney | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 1- Condemning the terror unleashed by the Government in Kashmir the PDP Spokesman and party leader A K Sawhney has said that the State is slipping towards law and order breakdown and the Government has totally failed to contain the terror unleashed upon the civilians in the region. In a statement issued here today Sawhney said that every day precious human lives are being snatched away and there is total anarchy, and it seems that situation may be out of control in the state. He urged the Centre to take note of the situation slipping out of hands of the Government. Expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the use of excessive force against protesters and subsequent civilian killings in Baramulla and the disappearance of a 15-year old boy, allegedly in army custody, Sawhney said government should immediately rise to the occasion, uncover the truth behind such deplorable incidents, identify the wrongdoers and punish them according to the law of the land. "If any person in uniform indulges in traumatizing the people, should be taken to task, and government should make no compromises on that," he urged. Sawhney said that it seems that the Omar Abdullah led Government is incompetent to handle the situation in the Kashmir valley.
