Blood donation cultural bonanza marks ‘CA Day’ in Jammu

Jammu, July 1: The Chartered Acc day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm by the Jammu and Kashmir Branch of NIRC of the institute of chartered accountants of India (ICAI). The ICAI which was set up under an act of parliament on 1st Day of July 1949 has completed 60 years of its existence today.
As per a press release, the J&K Branch of NIRC inaugurated the celebrations by organizing a blood donation camp on CA day at Blood bank, Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jammu. The chairman CA, Hardeep Aggarwal of the J&K Branch was the chief guest. The chairman, in his address to the members of the profession, congratulated on this Diamond Jubilee day of the institute and thanked the members for coming forward generously for this nobly cause. On this occasion Professor Govt. Medical Professor Dr. Chander Mohan, Acting HOD blood transfusion and medicine department Dr. Raman Kapoor, Dr. Pardeep Sharma among with other staff members were present. The HOD blood bank and the staff members of GMC hospital expressed their gratitude to the members of the CA profession for the generous cause and expected many more such camps in near future.
Chairman, CA Hardeep Aggarwal also thanked the members of his profession in J&K for rendering proficient services to the society in general and comi9ng to the expectations be regulators in particulars. He said that Chartered Accountancy is a noble profession on which Govt. Bodies and authorities rely too much. He said that image of the profession has been kept high by the members in Jammu and Kashmir which has been communicated to him during his interaction with such authorities. He also thanked the members that they have shown par excellence in facing the big challenges of E-filling of returns both under the income Tax as well as under the Companies Act.
Later the J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAI also organized the cultural activities and a family be together programme at Jammu club, Jammu which included distribution of certificate to blood donors, introduction of newly qualified chartered accountants, honour of winner of R.C Gupta memorial fund award, Tambola, Cultural activities like dance, jokes, song, skits etc by CAs, their family members and CA students and prize distributions to participants.
The proceedings were conducted by CA Lalit Kumar Gupta, Secretary of the branch.
The vote of thanks was presented by Vice chairman of the branch CA Satish Kumar Gupta, the release added.
