| KP legal forum express anguish over Shopian tragedy | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: The Kashmiri pandits (KP) legal forum in a meeting chaired by its president, Roop Krishan Raina have expressed its anguish over Shopian tragedy where two young women were raped and later on murdered brutally.
As per press release forum expresses great concern with regard to callous attitude of the government in dealing with the situation and impressed upon the government to act swiftly and get the actual culprits to book. Any efforts to hush up the matter by the govt. shall bear serious repercussions. Government must show utmost transparency in curbing this manice with iron hands, was unanimously resolved in the meeting.
Expressing surprise over a month long agitation going on at Shopian (Kashmir) and in almost all other part of the valley, government is showing no seriousness to curb such brutal inhuman acts.
Forum further expressed upon the chief minister to intervene immediately personally and book the actual culprits irrespective of their post, position or status.
The forum extends its full support to the consultative committee of Shopian. Since long and expresses all sympathies with the family of the victims who have suffered by inhuman and brutal activities of the culprits.
Amongst other the meeting was attended by Kulbushan Kaw, R.K. Dulloo, Bal Krishan Bhat, M.K. Raina, B.K. Kaw, K.L. Bhat, J.L. Bhat, B.L. Saraf, Ashok Bhat, O.N. Bhat “Sr”, O.N. Bhat “Jr”, M.L. Bakshi and Yogesh Bakshi.
