| Wani nominated to JU Syndicate | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: The Governor and chancellor of University of Jammu, N.N. Vohra has nominated Dr. M.A. Wani, Professor in the department of Urdu, university of Jammu as member of the university syndicate for a period of three year i.e. 2009-12.
Professor, Wani joined Urdu department of Jammu university as professor in Oct, 2007 and prior to this, he has served as a school teacher, research assistant Urdu in J&K cultural academy and Urdu lecturer in higher education department selected as principal by J&K Public service commission, and discharged his duties as principal in govt. women college, Kathua and Govt. Degree college, Doda.
Professor has written nearly hundred research papers and presented in various seminars, and published in reputed magazines. He has written about two dozen books and also won “Best Book Award” from J&K cultural academy during the year 1994-95. He has attended various international and national seminars. At present he is vice president of Anjuman-Tarriqui Urdu (Hindi) J&K Chapter. His nomination as a member of university syndicate is widely hailed by Member of Anjuman-Tarriqui Urdu (Hindi) and also university and college teacher fraternity.
