| Hoteliers express gratitude to Taj | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: The general secretary, All Jammu Hotels and Lodges association (AJHLA) Pawan Gupta, on behalf of association has conveyed thanks to the Minister for PHE & Irrigation, Taj Maiudin as well as the chief engineer PHE Jammu V K Abrol, to take prompt action and emergency measures to supply water through tankers to the hotels, lodges and restaurants, where water supply was affected due to damage caused to the IMVA electric transformer at company Bagh Pumping station.
The chief engineer had called a meeting of the corporators and representatives of the traders of affected areas sought their coorperation as well as their suggestions and recommendations for mitigating the problem faced by the affected people and acted promptly on their suggestions. In a letter addressed to the Minister for PHE association has conveyed their appreciation for the prompt act on and expressed hope that in future also the department will take steps to solve water problem at the time of emergency.
