| HC stays sentence of senior Auditor Defence Account, grants bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 02- While staying the operation of sentence passed by Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today issued notice to the respondents and admitted appellant to bail.
The Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu had sentenced appellant Raj Kumar then senior Auditor Defence Account to one year’s rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.30, 000 in a corruption case.
After hearing Advocate PN Raina appearing for the appellant, Justice Mir today issued notice to the respondents’ returnable within four weeks and admitted appellant to bail subject to furnishing the bail bonds to the tune of Rs 50,000 each with two sureties of the like amounts to the satisfaction of Registrar Judicial of High Court Jammu wing.
The High Court also issued direction that the appellant shall not leave the territorial jurisdiction of the state without prior permission and shall remain present on each and every date pf hearing before the Court. JNF
