| House panel takes on KU for offering back to legislators | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, JULY 02–Privilege Committee meeting of Legislative Council was held today under the Chairmanship of MLC Mr. Mohammad Rashid Qureshi at New Assembly complex, Srinagar. Legislators Mr. Bashir Ahmad Magray, Mr. Altaf Ahmad Wani and Mr. Showket Hussain Ganai and senior officers of Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to the report submitted by University of Kashmir regarding Privilege Motion moved by a Member of the Legislative Council alleging violation of Warrant of Precedence on the occasion of 17th convocation with regard to seating arrangements made for legislators.
However, the Committee expressed dissatisfaction on the report submitted by the University authorities in this regard.
The Chairman asked the concerned officers of Legislative Council to obtain a seating arrangement copy of the event from the University authorities pending further course of action.
