| Live mechanized paddy transplantation demonstration held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: A live demonstration on paddy transplantation with new mechanized paddy transplanter from VST tractor and tillers conducted at govt. adaptive trials-cum-training centre farm chack Jarallan in which more than 100 progressive farmers participated.
This system of transplanting requires special type of technique for raising paddy nursery seedlings on polymaths or prefabricated frames. This technique will save time and number of laborers per hectare and unit expenditure on rice cultivation. The main objective of this demonstration is to uplift the economic condition of farmers by adopting latest technology in field of agriculture.
The initiative taken by the director of command area development, Jammu Nirmal Sharma was highly appreciated by farmers of the area present on this occasion.
Project officer, soil and water management, A.K. Dubey, S. Pritam Singh Sasan, Vinod Ganjoo and other officers were present on the occasion.
