Jammu, July 2: Addressing party workers at village Bharnara in block Majalta, R.S. Pathania come down heavily on agriculture department authorities in supplying sub-standard maize seed to farmers this season.
He said this shows how poor farmers are being cheated, beside no maize crop can be cultivated due to no rains. He demanded that adequate compensation be provide to the farmers, beside probe the supply of rotten seed to farmers. He said if govt. fails to take any action agitation will be launched against the authorities.
Pathania also demanded that a degree college and ITI institute be sanctioned for Majalta and added it should given status of full-fledged status of a tehsil. He also demanded for implementation of NREGA schemes in Ramnagar, Dudu and Majalta.
