Jammu, July 2: After successfully conducting many challenging elections in Jammu and Kashmir, senior IAS officer BR Sharma has finally got a posting in the secretariat.
Sharma was last time Divisional Commissioner Jammu till 2005 when he was posted as Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir. He recently oversaw the conduct of assembly elections 2008 and most recently the Lok Sabha elections held earlier this year.
According to an official spokesman, BR Sharma, Principal Secretary to Government/Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, shall hold the charge of the post of Principal Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD), in addition to his own duties.
Sandeep K. Nayak, Commissioner/Secretary, PDD, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary, ARI & Trainings, relieving Commissioner/Secretary, GAD of the additional charge of the post.
Syed Ifthikhar-ul-Hasnain, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, holding the charge of Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, is posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal.
Kulbushan Magotra, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, holding the charge of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ramban.
Mubassir Latiefi, SP, Jammu (South), has been transferred and posted as SP, Ramban.
