| PHE EWA flays anti employee policy of government | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 3: Protest demonstration was held by the public health engineering employees welfare association (PHEEWA) for two hours, opposite the chief engineer’s office (PHE)-Jammu under the chairmanship of Rajinder Singh-chairman of the association. In the demonstration hundreds in number joined the demonstration and raised the slogans against the apathy attitude of the government in support of their long pending demands and their burning issues of the non-gazetted cadre employees of the department. In demonstration, so many leaders of the association represented and addressed the employees and projected their genuine demands. Leaders also criticized the transfer policy adopted by the department in respect of the class iv-th employees and stressed upon them to restrain from the transfers of the non-gazetted employees particularly the class iv-th who is the builders of the department. The chief engineer- Jammu was demanded that he should put-up the matter with the concerned minister’s to solve the burning issues particularly this prestigious job which is of the technical nature cannot run by all. Leaders further stated that it effects the yatries who are coming from all over the country to have a darshan of Amarnath holy cave and to prevent such disruption of the water supplies to them will lead to crisis and the department shall be held responsible for the frequent transfer of such employees. While addressing the meeting Rattan Dhoshi general secretary of the association criticized the government for anti employee and anti-labour policy adopted by it. He also earnestly requested to the PHE minister to review the policy, the newly introduced the transfer policy in the interest of the department and the employees in particular, which will create the indiscipline among the employees community and department cannot achieve any good result out of which confrontation. Balwinder Singh, the provincial president of the association also addressed the employees and criticized the state government of the transfer policy and other burning issues of the employees community. Singh appealed to all the members of association to be very vigilant and united to achieve the goal and a similar view has also been expressed by Rattan Dhoshi.
