Jammu, July 3: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was injured when a car-borne youth fired at him in Akhnoor, about 35 kms from here, police said.
Police said that SPO Daramveer Singh was fired upon when by the car-borne youth when he was returning back to his home on a motorcycle at Thathi in Akhnoor belt of Jammu district last night.
Singh was hospitalised with bullet injury on his leg, they said, adding the assailant escaped from the spot.
