Jammu, Aug 17: KC public school organizes conference of principals of CBSE schools. In the conference, principals of various progressive schools of Jammu affiliated with CBSE participated. The theme of the conference was “Empowering Every Learner” which is reflective of the concern evinced by the central board of secondary education in imparting quality education. There is an urgent need to bring about radical and persuasive changes in schooling by shedding rigid mindsets and by adopting innovative strategies to restructure school education to meet new challenges of life.
With the aim in view, the conference started with welcome address by Jorawar Singh, principal K.C Public school followed by power point presentation by Col. RS Parmar, Head J&K office of confederation of Indian industries who familiarized the delegated about ‘Shiksh India’ emphasizing role of IT in education development.
The delegates elected Jorawar Singh, as president KCS Mehta principal, Army School Akhnoor, S. Sarkar principal Heritage School Jammu were elected secretary and treasures respectively.
The delegates decided to organize orientation programmes, seminars and workshops for teachers, students and principals on various themes. Joint programmes for home examinations, sports and cultural activities, inter school competitions, exhibitions etc.
