Youth congress deputation meat MOS higher education

Jammu, Aug 18: A deputation of Youth congress led by working president district youth congress committee Jammu (urban) Neeraj Gupta met Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, minister of state for higher education, in connection with proposed central university and observing strike by college students in this behalf. He apprised the minister that he should take up the issue at Govt. level and see that grievances of the people of the region are addressed. They also expressed that frequent college strike, the minds of the students remain disturbed and they can not devote their time for studies even at their homes.
The minister gave a patient hearing and said that state government had taken up the proposal for two universities. One in Jammu and other in Kashmir, with Govt. of India. He assured that govt. was committed to equitable development of all the three regions of J&K state.
The others members of the deputation Ajay Wadhera, Daljit Singh, Prithpal Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Balbir Singh, Pawan Sharma, Kewal, Vikram Charak and others.
