Religious congregation for peace to families of martyrs held

Jammu, February 21: Amongst the chants of hymns and religious prayers, a unique Havana for peace and prosperity for the people of nation and particularly the state of Jammu and Kashmir got underway today at the tawi beds, a pious place where Ati Mahavishnu Yagya had been performed in the year 2003.

In its perspective today’s performance included a unique offering to a particular segment of the people of nation related to the families of the martyrs, a religious proclamation announced by Maharaj Sant Shri Balak Yogeshwar Dass ji.

The function was a presentation of the yagya performance by the families of the martyrs that were attended by many other people belonging to aged home and physically handicapped also.

“This is an effort for managing a peaceful congregation throughout India by offering religious nurture to the families of those victims who have suffered on various accounts be it militancy or any other cause,” said Devender Soodan (Pintoo), spokesman Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya Samiti.

Pinto while elaborating on the system envisaged by the Samiti informed that a bigger congregation proposed and organized by Maharaj Sant Shri Balak Yogeshwar Dass ji would be held at Haridwar from March 14-April 14, wherein people from all walks of life would be attending the same besides those who have been identified by the Samiti as the families of martyrs.

“ In this context already a yagya had been held on the frigid an cold heights of Drass in 2006 wherein Maharaj Sant Shri Balak Yogeshwar Dass ji was himself present on the occasion who held the discourses among the families of the martyrs,” said Pintoo.

“This place offers a religious insight into a human ideology and imbibes a spirit of goodness. Though we are not capable of providing anything in material or substance at this place, we take home a new insight that helps us in grooming our way of living ethically,” said Jai Trikuta singer Janipur.

Pt Jagdishwar lal from Rehayal added, “Such occasions become a chance for us to exult our love and piousness towards the religious discourses. This adds a feeling of pride and need of looking into our religious moorings”.

“Religion cannot be barrier for any individual to participate in any function, be it of Hindus or Muslims where a religious discourse is being conducted for peace and prosperity of the humanity. I came here alongwith my friend and felt good for being the part of the occasion,” said Naseer Ahmed, a government employee.

Major Akash and Major Ajay Jasrotia’s family besides the family of photojournalist Ashok Sodhi attended the havan.
