| SC employees forum oppose ban on inter distt recruitment | | |

Jammu, Mar 26: The Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Caste (SC) Employees Forum in a meeting strongly opposed the ban being imposed on the inter district recruitment by the Government. The Forum members said that the proposed ban on inter district recruitment would badly affect the reservation provided to the neglected sections of the society. The bill is totally against the constitutional rights of the reserved categories which would definitely jeopardizes the avenues of employment available to them, they added. The meeting also challenged the Scheduled Caste certificates obtained by two Muslim employees of the J&K State Forest Corporation who are named as Farman Ali and Abdul Rashid. Members said that till date the scheduled caste status has not been provided to any Muslim community and as such their certificates were challenged to the National Commission for SCs, Govt of India. Members demanded enquiry into the matter.
