Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2: The Centre has increased cash assistance for Kashmiri migrants from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000, the Jammu and Kashmir government said today. A communication from the Centre in this regard was received by the state government a few days back, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla said after an event here. The Minister said the Central government has approved Rs 1618.40 crore package for proper rehabilitation of displaced families of the valley. The government has already created 3,000 posts for the educated unemployed youth of Kashmiri migrants in the first phase, he said adding that 3,000 more posts would be created for them later. The government had also constructed a township of 4218 flats at Jagti, near here, at a cost of Rs 295 crores for accommodating Kashmiri migrants, Bhalla said.
