| Freedom Fighters paid floral tributes to Sehgal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 4: J&K Freedom Fighters Association celebrated birthday of the renowned personality of the film industry and son of the soil K.L. Sehgal in a function held at Ved Mandir Students Hall. On the occasion, former MP Janak Raj Gupta was the chief guest and Ved Gandotra presided over the function. Paying floral tributes to Sehgal, Janak Raj Gupta said that he attained the heights of success by the dint of his hard work. Gupta advised the students and youth to follow the path shown by him. He also assured that he would raise the issue of releasing the grants for institute to the tune of Rs. 2.28 lakhs soon. Speaking on the occasion, Ved Gandotra deplored the attitude of the people of Jammu city and the state government for ignoring the achievements of K.L. Sehgal, which is great injustice to him. M.R. Bangotra hailed the step of the central government to make "Right to Education" a law but also raised apprehensions about its implementation. Balkrishan Gupta presented the vote of thanks. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Paras Ram Poonchi, Netar Prakash, Yash Sangral, Rakesh Wajir, Jatinder Sehgal, K.L. Mangi, Sanjeev Manmotra and students of the Balnikatan High School.
