| Inter-school competitions of Chowkichora zone ends | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 14: Annual inter-school competitions of zone Chowkichora in tehsil Akhnoor concluded today with the holding of finals in volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho in two age groups of under-14 and under-17 boys at Government Higher Secondary School Chowkichora.
The competitions were conducted with the support of concerned Physical Education Teachers (PETs) by ZPEO, Sher Singh. In the finals, Principal of the host HSS Chowkichora was chief guest.
The Detailed Final Results: U-17 Volleyball: GHS Sungal bt GHS Dhanchapri 2-0. U-17 Kabaddi: HS Sungal bt HS Rahsaylote by six points.
U-17 Kho-Kho: GHS Rahsaylote beat Dori Dagre by 10 points. U-14 Kho-Kho: HS Raysaylote bt MS Chowkichora by three points. U-14 Kabaddi: MS Keour bt MS Chowkichora by eight points.
KHOUR ZONE:
Inter-school competitions of Khour zone in tehsil Akhnoor concluded today under the guidance of ZPEO, Sarita Pandha with the holding of finals in girls under-17 kho-kho at Government Higher Secondary School Khour today. The final was won by High School Pallanwala beating High School Khour.
Principal of the host school, Brij Lal was chief guest in the final.
To finalise the zonal teams for forthcoming inter-zonal competitions of Jammu district, the selection committee comprised of Ravinder Kumar Bali, Anubhav Dev, Sikander Singh, Dharamvir Singh and Darshna Devi shortlisted the probable.
JOURIAN ZONE:
With the holding of finals of girls under-14 year kho-kho, the inter-school competitions of Jourian zone concluded under the supervision of ZPEO, Ram Lal Sharma. In the under-14 kho-kho final, Government High School Jourian defeated Government Middle School, Bakore. Zonal teams were also selected for the district level competitions by the selection committee comprised of Ramesh Chander (PEM), Ashok Kumar, Sushma Bali and Ramesh Chander
