| Protest against GM Northern railway held | | Chamber threatened for Udhampur Bandh | |

Udhampur, May 14: Udhampur Chamber of commerce and congress leader held a protest demonstration at udhampur railway station that time when GM Northern railway who arrived here on a day visit refused to listen the genuine demands and problems of people .
Chamber of commerce president deputation led by Sham Kalsotra and congress leader deputation led by Ashwani Khajuria alleged that today when they went to met GM Northern Railway with the expectation that he will patiently listen their problems but when they met with GM railway in presence of other senior officers he beside listening there genuine problem started dictating his own terms to them and totally refused to listen railway related numerous problems being faced by commuters here which irked them .
Later they held protest demonstration at station along with other workers raising anti Northern railway slogans alleging it that railway authorities alleging failure of railways authorties in solving number of problem s of locals put forth by chamber and others several times Talking to media Ashwani Khajuria alleged that the railway authorities who are the government servants nad meant for public service has failed to mitigate suffering of locals . He added that no new train has been extended here , reservation norms and quota system is totally different from other places of India .
There is no facility for commuters at railway station . He alleged that against 600 seating capacity in DMU railway sell 1200 tickets every day to commuters causing heavy rush and inconvenience to passengers on board .
He added that despite assurance given earlier no train was started to Pilgrimage Haridwar for connivance hundreds of commuters and beside solving there problems negative attitude of railway authorties has stunned every one here .
Chamber of Commerce has also said that they will make consus with other about such attitude of railway authorties who are backtracking Udhampur and threatned to call for Udhampur bandh in few days.
