| Mansar lake's 3rd victim an ASCOMS student | | |
JAMMU, May 14:
In less than a week, an MBBS student of ASCOMS (Batra Medical College) today drowned in the famous Mansar lake, 25 km off the national highway, in Samba.
SPO Jagdev Singh and Vijay Singh, both residents of Chenani, were drowned in the lake on March 9 while they were taking bath in it.
Today, Syed Zuhaid Rizvi jumped into the lake waters to take bath at about 7 pm. Quoting eyewitnesses, police sources said he drowned soon after he jumped into the lake.
Army divers were contacted to search for his body, the sources added.
Sources said there was also a possibility of Rizvi having committed suicide by jumping into the lake as he was moving aimlessly in the area for the past two hours.
A police probe into the incident was on.
