Akshat, Sheetal get special titles in Investiture Ceremony of SR School | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 15: To inculcate the responsible attitude in students and to provide them the required platform, an investiture ceremony was held at SR Public School wherein the elected council members for the session 2010-11 had oath ceremony. The event started with inspiring words by Vice Principal of the School, Sonica Gupta, who expressed her views that recognition and appreciation are the most important tools to channelise the students. With the prime motto of imparting academics as well as entrance coaching under one roof to its students, the SR Public School also gives equal consideration to its students to be guided by competent and efficient seniors and other fellow beings. To cater to this need, council members were elected and allotted various designations. Akshat Bharti became the Head Boy of the school and Sheetal Gupta, the Head Girl. Sports, Discipline, Cultural and Communication categories were also allotted to Rajat Kalsotra, Sayed Shariq, Sarvesh Kotwal and Ruby Jaan respectively. As also Ronit Mengi, Aditya Mahajan, Sahil Sharma and Kamran Bhat were chosen as captains of Loyalty, Progress, Peace and Courage House respectively. Chairman of the S R Public School, Parveen Sharma, who was the chief guest of the function, addressed everybody present there. He also felicitated Rajat Kalsotra for being position holder and proving the fact that quality education provided in SR Public School required no additional tuition. An ambience for achieving success was created thereafter when all the students together sang the song 'Hum Honge Kamayab". The mesemerizing event concluded with the vote of thanks by Kiran Raina, the School Administrator. She also inspired the council members and imparted a few tips to them to balance their entrance-oriented-academics along with other duties.
