| CAPD penalised defaulters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 15: In continuation to market checking drives, the inspecting teams of Assistant Directors Enforcement Wing including inspectors of CAPD Department headed by Deputy Director Supplies, Ashok Pandita, conducted surprise checking of Soda Water Factory M/S Lay Beverages Pepsi Bari-Brahamana, Pahalwan Sweets Mall Bari-Brahamana, Fast Food vendors, halwai Shops Bye Pass etc at Jammu district and challaned 7 defaulters.
During the checking, the inspecting team ralized a fine of Rs. 12900 from the defaulters for violating Essential Commodities Act/Price Display Order/LPG Control Order 2000 on 13.5.2010.
The department of CAPD has asked the restaurants, caterers, fastfood vendors not to use domestic LPG cylinders at their business premises and directed the fruit/vegetable/pulses karayana merchants for display of price lists at their shops and not to indulge in overcharging.
