DCF organises diabetes awareness camp

Jammu, May 15: A free check up cum awareness camp was held at Durganagar by the diabetes care foundation (DCF). A large number of people get themselves checked by renowned dialectologist of the state, Dr Jitendra Singh and his team. During his check-up several test like blood sugar and lipid profile were conducted free of cost.
While addressing the gathering present on the occasion Dr Singh emphasized the importance of the non-medicinal measures for treatment of diabetes. He warned against the quacks and unqualified cheats who are bent upon loot the innocent masses in the name of offering self-styled instant cures. Referring upsurge of diabetes among displaced Kashmiri community, Dr Singh suggested a scientific combination of stress management techniques and the latest drugs to achieve low target levels of blood sugar as the modern mantra to protect heart, eyes and kidneys from the onslaught of diabetes. Among present on the occasion were convener DCF, Ashok Chaturvedi, Kewal Krishan and Saraf from Sangarmal foundation etc.
