| Court issues summons to Women Cell incharge | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU: Additional district judge, matrimonial cases, Jammu, has issued summons to Women Cell incharge, Inspector Shakti Sharma in a contempt case.
The contempt proceedings were initiated against her for her alleged act of "undermining the court authority" and "attempting to over awe" the applicant.
The court directive came in a writ petition filed by Vikas Sharma through advocates Anil Sethi and Rohit Lega. In the petition, Vikas alleged that though his case was pending in the court of law, the women cell incharge had been threatening him of dire consequences if he did not produce his children before him to give their custody to his wife Samriti Sharma who was living separately.
Vikas alleged that besides using abusive and foul language with him, Inspector Shakti had also threatened him on phone if he did not bring the children to the women cell.
Initiating contempt proceedings, the judge ordered Shakti to be present before the court on May 28. The judge said appropriate orders would be passed in case she failed to appear before the court.
