SC seeks objections to bail application of Ch. brothers

JAMMU: The Supreme Court has directed the state to file objections to a bail application preferred by the accused of Amandeep murder case.
The accused Choudhary Nagar Singh and Choudhary Rakesh Singh sought bail from the apex court after the State High Court rejected their bail application on May 3, 2010,
A division bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Altmas Kabir and Justice H.L Gokhale after hearing Senior counsel R.F Nariman issued notice to state of J&K.
Advocate Anis Suhrawardy appearing for the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been served a copy this Special Leave Petition (bail application) to file Vakaltmana within four weeks. He was further directed to take instructions by first week of July.
Pertinent to mention the high court on May 3, 2010 rejected the bail application of Choudhary Nagar Singh and Choudhary Rakesh Singh and granted interim bail to Choudhary Singh for three months. This order of the State High Court was challenged in the apex court.
