Burhan enters final of Junior Snooker | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 17: Beating equally good Jaswinder Singh, Burhan Khan today sailed into the final of junior snooker event of the 20th Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championships underway at Billiards Hall, here. It was a straight frame win for Burhan in the best of five semi-finals. The interesting second frame witnessed both Jaswinder and Burhan snook each other when only colour balls were there on the table. However, Burhan had a better deal, especially in the last moments and clinched the high scoring frame 84-65. The score: Burhan bt Jaswinder 3-0 (58-37, 84-65, 57-13). Later, in the third frame, it was an easy sailing for Burhan, who turned offensive against under pressure, Jaswinder and secured the easy frame 57-13 and match also. In the meantime, the second semi-final, started at 2 pm, could not be completed due to power failure. Now, the game will be completed tomorrow. "We waited for long for the power to restore but had to postpone the second semi-final between Ishan Choudhary and Nitin Sharma for tomorrow," general secretary of the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, Sheetal Gandotra. Meanwhilae, according to the organisers, the first round of senior snooker event shall start tomorrow.
