| Sahi new president of JUNTEU | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 18: Sunil Sahi has been elected as the new president of Jammu University Non Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) replacing S S Heer.
Declaring the results of elections held today, Election Commissioner Prof Dhian Singh Bhau (Director, Physical Education) informed that Sahi secured 299 votes while his rival and outgoing president S S Heer only got nine votes. Ram Gopal (139) was the third contestant for the post.
Among others elected as office bearers included Ravi Gupta (vice president), Manoj Chouhan (general secretary), Ashwani Bakshi (joint secretary), Parvesh Ratta (organizing secretary) and Sanjeev Chadha (treasurer).
Besides, Abhinav Sharma, Anil Puri, Budhi Singh, Pawan Singh, Ujagar Dass and Vikas Langer were elected as members.
Ramesh Sharma (volley ball coach) was the Returning Officer for the elections while, Dr Brij Baloria and Dr Ramesh Mangotra were the Presiding Officers and Dr Sonam Angchuk was the Incharge Administration.
