| NC led regime deceived people: Mehbooba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BUDGAM, May 18: Lambasting National Conference led coalition regime for its failure to solve basic problems of the masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti today said that this dispensation has deceived people of the state by making false promises. Addressing one day convention of party card holders at Khansahib, Mehbooba regretted that instead of addressing grievances of the people, this regime has brazenly been indulged into wrong practices to hoodwink the masses.
"Residents of all regions of the state have been struggling to get basic amenities like power and ration but the government seems to be non serious in solving such day today problem", she said and especially mentioned failure of the official machinery to cope up with problems of water logging in Srinagar after recent downpours. Exhorting the party workers to expose misdeeds of this regime, she regretted that NC has not learnt any lessons from its past mistake and repeating the previous blunders. "Now after commissioning of Dulhasti and Baglihar hydro power projects there should be no shortage of power but situation has further deteriorated during the last one and half month", she said and asked, "I do not know where the electricity being generated by the state is going?".
